According to the AMA, an elected group from the association were chosen to conduct interviews of all 7 candidates. One candidate could not complete the interview. One declined. One did not show up. The other 4 answered all questions completely. These interviews were conducted Oct 4th.

The association is encouraging voters to support any of these four candidates during the November 2016 election.

In a statement, the AMA said:

“Our students depend on individuals who care about them, who have the district’s best interest at heart, and who are supportive of our current Superintendent, as she leads us into a future of positive change for the children we serve.”

This is the first time the association has endorsed candidates saying it was an important election and the District must have people elected to the Board who can move the District forward.

The Antioch Management Association (AMA) is made up of professionals who care deeply for the education of Antioch’s youth and for the well-being of our great community.  The membership is diverse, representing certificated staff and classified managers at school sites, the district office, and the maintenance facility.  Many of our members were AUSD educated, their children were AUSD educated, and many members continue as life-long residents of Antioch.
