At 2:20 pm Thursday, Antioch Police responded to a report of a man down in the roadway in the 5800 block of Lone Tree Way in the City of Antioch.
Upon further investigation, it was determined the victim had been stabbed in the chest and was laying in the street.
Upon arrival of East Contra Costa Fire Engine 53 firefighters on scene, Antioch Police and AMR were already working on the victim with a medical helicopter already being requested.
By 2:34 pm, Engine 53 cancelled the medical helicopter which AMR opted for ground transport to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
No other information was readily available.
