At 10:38 pm Sunday, the Antioch Police Department and Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle crash on Hillcrest Avenue at Larskpur in the City of Antioch.
While responding, it was was reported that the man had both his legs amputated in the crash.
Upon arrival, a man was located pinned between two vehicles where he lost his legs from the impact of the crash. Firefighters and AMR provided patient care on scene before he was transported by medical helicopter to a local hospital.
According to police, preliminary information was a vehicle for unknown reasons was stopped on Hillcrest Avenue with the male outside of the vehicle when he was rear-ended by another vehicle and was pinned between both vehicles. The female driver of that vehicle got out and fled the scene and took off in another vehicle. Three children, who were in the stopped vehicle, were not injured in the incident.
No other information was released at scene.

This is just sad. And it makes my blood boil. When they catch this woman I don’t want to hear any weepy stories about how hard her life has been. The woman has to take responsibility! No amount of community service will make this right

That poor guy. Just horrible. Leaves me speechless what happens to people any more. I think I would have rather died if it was me. Hopefully, he feels differently.
