On Wednesday around 5:30 pm, the Antioch Police arrested Anthony Davison of Antioch who had a warrant for his arrest relating to a homicide.

According to Antioch Police, he was considered a parole at large for a homicide that occurred in another city. Police did not state which city the homicide occured in, but only that Davison was originally located by police on the 300 block of W. Tregallas.

He ran from officers which led police to set up a perimeter along Highway 4 from A Street to Hillcrest and circled neighborhoods from Worrell to Sunset. Police received a few tips from people in the area which led them to the railroad tracks by Cavallo/Gary Ave. A police officer went onto the railroad tracks and spotted Davison running eastbound towards Hillcrest.

As backup arrived, Davison made his way into the Public Storage facility off Sunset before Antioch Police took him into custody with the help of a K9 unit. He was then treated by AMR on scene and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The California Highway Patrol assisted in the search helping control traffic on Highway 4.

No further information was released.
