Antioch Man Arrested in Pacifica for Auto Burglary

On June 4, 2014 at approximately 3:30 am, Pacifica Police Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Winwood Avenue on the report of an auto burglary in-progress. The first two arriving officers observed a male subject, later identified as Jose Alberto Herrera, a 31 year old Antioch resident, removing property from a parked vehicle.

The suspect was placing the stolen property into a vehicle that was parked in the middle of the street.

The vehicle which the suspect had been driving was determined to have been stolen in San Francisco. Once the suspect realized the officers were on scene he began to run westbound on the 200 block of Winwood Avenue. The officers gave chase and took the suspect into custody without further incident.

During an interview with the suspect, he admitted to burglarizing other vehicles in the City of Pacifica. The investigating officers are continuing to locate additional victims and the investigation is on-going.

The suspect was later booked at the San Mateo County Jail on the following charges:

  • 460(b) PC Burglary
  • 496 PC Possession of Stolen Property
  • 10851 CVC Stolen Vehicle
  • 11377 H&S Possession of Methamphetamine
  • 11364 H&S Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • 148 PC Delaying or Obstructing an Officer

Residents are encouraged to report thefts or burglaries from their vehicles if they have not yet made a report to the police department. Investigators may be able to might be able to match up recovered property. Contact Detective Glasgo at: (650) 738-7314.

Flushing a turd down the toilet releases it into the ocean. Often, this human waste drifts around and ends up back on land.

Sorry Pacifica, but because of lax and easily obtainable government assistance, there is a lot of human waste thriving in Antioch. So much that we can barely contain all that garbage in the city.
