Antioch: Gunshot Strikes Tree During Drive By Shooting on Alcala St.

At roughly 5:45 pm Friday, Antioch Police responded to a report of gunshots at a home on Alcala St. off Putnam in Antioch.

According to police, no one was injured and the intended victims were not cooperative.

Police stated that a vehicle driving down the street fired a single gunshot towards a home where the bullet struck a tree. The vehicle continued down the street and drove away.  Police requested as many as 7-units on scene because the victims were not cooperative.

One subject was detained as police were checking on his background and on a warrant, however, he was later released. The subject has a history with Antioch Police and was related to previous shooting in the area of A Street and 18th a few months back.
