The Antioch Animal Services has announced that in celebration of May being Be Kind to Animal’s Month, all adoption fees between May 8th -12th are being covered by Friend’s of Animal Services.
Antioch Animal Services also announced during the month of May there are reduced adoption fees on all the shelter pets: Cat/kittens are $50, Dogs/Puppies are $75 and any Bully Breed/Pit Mix is $25. The Adoption Fee includes: Spay/Neuter, Microchip and Shots.
If you are a Resident of Antioch, you must pay $19 for a dog license fee at time of adoption.
If you have lost a pet, they encourage you to come to the shelter in person and ask staff for a “lost pet walk-through” to view stray animals held in the stray-hold area of the shelter and to check the “found pet” binders in the lobby in case a member of the public is holding a found pet. Stray Pets without a microchip are held for 3 business days before being made available to the public for adoption or rescue
The shelter is located next to our Police Station at 300 L Street. The shelter is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm and Friday from 10 am to 2 pm.
