At 10:27 am Tuesday, Contra Costa County firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle fire in the driveway at a home on Chomor Ct in the City of Antioch.
While responding, firefighters received additional information of not only the vehicle on fire, but bushes on fire, a loud explosion, and two homes catching fire. Antioch Police worked to evacuate the homes.
While on scene of the single family home, Contra Costa Fire stated a vehicle was fully involved that had extended to the garage area but they were able to contain it to minor damage to the structure.
By 10:40 am, the fire was knocked down and limited to just a single home. There were no injuries reported and the vehicle was a total loss.
