At 1:54 pm Saturday, Contra Costa County Firefighters were dispatched to a vegetation fire at a park neighboring Carmen Dragon Elementary School in the City of Antioch.
Upon arrival, CONFIRE located a 1/10 acre of vegetation on fire and observed smoke and flames along the fence line of the school and at Meadow Creek Estate Park.
The fire posed no threat to the school and was quickly knocked down.
Crews were on scene for just under 2-hours. No word on the cause of the fire at this time.
