Antioch: Firefighters Make Quick Work of Vegetation Fire at Homeless Encampment

At 2:14 pm Sunday, Contra Costa County Firefighters were dispatched to a report of a vegetation fire behind the storage unit facility in the 800 block of Sunset Drive in the City of Antioch.

Upon arrival, firefighters located vegetation on fire from a homeless encampment. Firefighters hopping a barbed wire fence and began to make fire attack limiting the fire to about a 1/4 acre.

No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged.

At least one suspect fled the scene after the fire was started according to witness.

Yet ANOTHER homeless encampment set on fire????? How much more of this can we take? The City must clear those places out and make sure they are not reoccupied. This is a public safety issue! It was very windy Sunday and who knows where that fire could spread!

Oh yeah so why dont the city just start killing the homeless off ..so we can make sure that there arent any homeless encampments ..lmfao where do u expect them to go …i know where your going ..straight to hell.how can you even say something like that ..???????
