Antioch: Firefighters Limit Vegetation Fire to 6 Acres

Just after 12:00 pm Wednesday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters were dispatched to a report of a vegetation fire behind a home in the 3000 block of View Drive in the City of Antioch.

Upon arrival, firefighters located a quarter acre fire that was wind driven and on both sides of a wall near the water treatment plan.

By 12:50 pm, the fire was under control and estimated at 6 acres. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
