Antioch: Firefighters Dirt Bike Stolen From Fire Station

by ECT

A Captain with the Contra Costa County Fire District was working a shift at Station 81 in Antioch where his dirt bike was stolen off his truck while out on a call.

According to the fire Captain, on the night of April 22-23, an unknown subject broke in through a locked gate at the firehouse to get to the back of the fire station parking lot where his personal dirt bike was placed in the back of his pickup truck.

The bike was placed in his vehicle because he had planned to go riding after his shift. His truck was parked against the wall to prevent a theft by not allowing the tailgate down. However, the subject or multiple subjects, lifted the bike up and over the side of the truck bed—leaving a severe scratch on the side of the truck as they slid the bike out.

The thief also stole a fire district tool box from the training area behind the station.

Antioch Police took a report and the fire district is working on beefing up the stations security measures.

The dirt bike is a 2008 Yamaha YZ450F with a VIN #JYACJ0C68A24833 and the current red registration sticker number is 18CT15. The bike has an aftermarket “Bill’s Pipes” exhaust system, an engine skid plate, bark busters, and the fork seals leak.

If anyone sees this bike or knows where it is please call Antioch Police Department non-emergency line at (925) 778-2441 (24 Hours)
