Antioch: Firefighters Battle Vegetation Fire on Lone Tree Way

by ECT

For the second time in a little over two weeks, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vegetation fire at Lone Tree Way at Terranova in the City of Antioch.

The fire broke out at 6:47 pm Friday which sent a column of smoke into the air and shutdown the northbound direction of Lone Tree Way as firefighters began battling the fire. A second-alarm structure protection group was issued as a building was threatened, however, soon after that alarm was cancelled after firefighters gained control of the fire.

Crews were on scene for just under 2-hours. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Back on May 23, fire crews responded to the same area where they battled a fire estimated at 1.5 acres. That fire helped contain Friday’s fire.

I saw that from my house across the street. These fires are set by the homeless scum hiding behind structures close to that water tower. The police need to get up there and flush them out for good!
