Antioch: Firefighters Battle Attic Fire at Acacia Cremation and Burial Services

At 8:53 pm Monday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of a commercial structure fire in the 1200 block of A Street in the city of Antioch.

Upon arrival, crews located smoke coming from Acacia Cremation and Burial Services and upon further investigation, located a working fire.

The fire began in an electrical closet that had extended into the attic and become a working attic fire. Crews were able to make fire attack and limit damage.

Crews were on scene for 3-hours and 35-minutes. No further details were released on scene. The incident shut down a portion of A Street for several hours.
