Antioch: Exterior Fire Damages Two Homes, Burns 1/2 Acre of Vegetation

At 2:38 pm Friday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters were dispatched to a report of smoke coming from a home in the 4400 block of Fawn Hill Way in the City of Antioch.

Upon arrival, Battalion Chief 8 reported an exterior fire along with a fence and brush on fire.

The fire eventually made its way to the home and into a neighboring yard as well as burned a half-acre of brush along Deerfield and Hillcrest Ave. The vegetation fire required its own response which included CALFIRE and East Contra Costa Fire Protection District Units.

The fire destroyed most of two back yards. No further details were available.
