Antioch Education Association Endorses Wade Harper for Supervisor

by ECT

The Antioch Education Association and Louie Rocha, principal of Antioch High School today endorsed Antioch Mayor Wade Harper in his campaign for Contra Costa County Supervisor.

“Nothing is more important to our community than our schools.  Mayor Harper has shown a special dedication to our students, teachers and parents.  His priority is to ensure the safety and success of our students,” said principal Louie Rocha.  “As a Civic Leader who has committed his time to serving our youth as a role model and mentor, I believe he is uniquely qualified, and the best candidate – the only choice – to represent us on the Board of Supervisors.   His experience as Mayor, school board member, teacher and police lieutenant makes him uniquely qualified.”

“I think teachers have one of the most important jobs that a person can have, that is, shaping the young minds of our children.  I am excited and honored to have the support of the Antioch Education Association and Principal Louie Rocha,” says Harper.

Harper is a former school board trustee with the Antioch Unified School District.  While serving as a trustee for the Antioch Unified School District, Harper started the Healthy Community and School Climate Committee to address safety problems in the schools.

Harper currently serves as a teacher in the Leadership and Public Services Academy teaching Law Enforcement Careers.  “I was excited to have our mayor join our staff,” says Principal Louie Rocha,  “He is making a positive impact on our students.  I have visited his classroom and the students are engaged.”

Harper provides students with education in the career pathway of law enforcement.  Having served as a sworn officer, he is able to share his experience and training that led to his career in law enforcement.

Harper is the only directly-elected mayor in the race for district 3 supervisor.  Harper received his MBA in Leadership from John F. Kennedy University and was honored as alumni of the year for the school of management.  Harper received his BA degree in Pastoral Studies from Patten University and was honored as student of the year.

ECT, would like for you to add an editors comment or clarification because of course they endorse him, HARPER WORKS FOR THE DISTRICT! He teaches part-time a law enforcement class.

By the way, anyone notice how screwed up the AUSD is? Two resignations in the last 6 months and they let their Superintendent go.

That endorsement is not from the teachers union. I didn’t know we had an “Education Association”. Just what do they do? This isn’t going to help this do nothing guy anyway.

Broken AUSD backing up a broken mayor. Typical. What has Harper accomplished that has increased the quality of life Goethe good tax paying working class of Antioch?

Oh I forgot… He got us to pay for 2 tax increases that had no benefit for us.

This sounds like he should be trying for a seat in educational districts or colleges not Supervisor of the county. Two totally different government agencies requiring different skills.

No vote for Harper! Ever watch him at a City Council meeting. So disengaged, he can’t remember a speaker spoke even 60 seconds before and tells her to go ahead and speak. What an air head. Take him away!

Hell no! this guy is so far off from the community its not even funny. He should never hold another office job every again. He sleeps with the same people who rip off Antioch residents and free load and steal our tax dollars

It’s true, Harper loves himself and his accomplishments.

Harper’s Accomplishments:

Educations:

1. Teaching credentials – Never Published

2. Crimes in school – yes, positive influence NOT

3. School are educational challenged, at best!

Thus, Harper failed.

Law Enforcement

1. (Ret.) Police LT, one would imagine crime would be on the decline – NOT!

2. One should not teach, unless the can enforce crime within the citty.

Thus, Harper failed

Political Career

1. City of Hercules Mayor – failed

2. City of Antioch Mayor – failed

3. County Supervisor – Not a good choice. His track sucks!!!

Thus, Harper truly not the one to represent us.

Mr. Harper just retire completely. Let a true qualify candidate take the helm. You don’t have the best tract record.

Mayor City of Hercules? No doubt he would have failed but I’m not sure he even knows where Hercules is. It should have said failed 2 years on Antioch School Board.

Louie Rocha says his students are engaged? Wake up Louie! My kids have been in his class at your High School, he is a joke of an “educator” the stufents are to busy laughing at him, he is never prepared for class. Tells them to sit quietly and find something to do!

Mr Rocha has no clue what goes on at the school. I have watched him deal with kids and have been ashamed each time. He shows no respect when it is deserved. His mother’s coat tails have gotten him everywhere and she isn’t very intelligent herself.

Credentials show he is a very good student in accredited profit and not for profit schools. Did he apply leadership in his political career? I do find it hard to believe the AEA membership backs his campaign.
