Antioch: Delta Water Rescue Successful as All Victims Swim to Shore

At 6:12 pm Tuesday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District received a report of a jet ski accident that threw three jet skiers into the Delta.

It was reported two were stranded in the water with life vest while a third was unaccounted for without a life vest on in the area of Fulton Shipyard in Antioch.

Contra Costa Fire mobilized with Antioch Police, Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office, the US Coast Guard, AMR and air support for a rescue operation.

IMG_4721As crews arrived on scene along with the CONFIRE rescue boat, two of the three victims came ashore while a third was still unaccounted for.

Fire crews tried to confirm a third victim, however, the victims said there was only two of them.

They later changed their story saying their was a third victim but that he had made it to shore. A short time later, a male and female walked up to the incident command saying they were on the jet ski.

All victims declined medical treatment.
