Antioch Chamber of Commerce Announces Search For Next CEO

by ECT

Antioch, CA  – The Antioch Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that they will be actively recruiting for a new full time CEO.

The last two years forced businesses to tighten their belt and look at innovative new ways to meet the needs of their clients and the Chamber is no different.   As we transition from pandemic to endemic the Chamber is looking for an innovative entrepreneur with vision to help represent the business community and support businesses in the new normal.

The CEO is an important community member that advocates for business owners and employers.  They will provide executive leadership and strategic direction and vision for the development and fulfillment of the Chamber’s mission; To help promote the community, advocate for businesses, support the growth of jobs and revenue and lobby and fight for the economic development of the region.

The past eleven years the Chamber has been led by local business owners and former Mayor Sean Wright of The Wright Start Chiropractic and Richard Pagano of State Farm Insurance.  In 2010 the Chamber was suffering from the effects of the recession and the vision and leadership of these two CEO’s helped to save the 84-year-old Chamber.  The chamber took on great projects like EC2: The Collaborative to fight for projects that came like the Amazon fulfillment center.  They created the St Mary’s Project which partnered with graduate students and professors to look at Antioch with fresh eyes.  Most recently they started The Antioch Chamber Cares program which is coming to the aid of local businesses financially and with a friendly face after vandalism affects them.

Anyone interested in applying for the CEO position is asked to submit their resume along with three references via email to [email protected] or mail them to Antioch Chamber of Commerce at 101 H St, Ste 4 Antioch CA 94509.  The deadline for applications will be Friday March 11th, 2022.
