At 7:38 am Friday, Contra Costa County firefighters were dispatched to a report of a 7-year-old child who was struck by a vehicle at Putnam Street and Lone Tree Way in the City of Antioch.
Engine 82 arrived on scene and reported as of 7:44 am that a child was down in the roadway and requested a medical helicopter.
REACH was scheduled to land around 8:00 am near the Water Treatment Plant and Park Middle School.
No further details were available.

This is horrible! Was there an adult with this child? Did the driver stop?
?That’s twice in a week that a child has been hit at Lone Tree and Putnam. Something needs to be done about that intersection.
