Antioch: 5-Year-Old Struck by Vehicle on Yorkshire Drive

At 2:51 pm Monday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a child who was struck by a vehicle in the 2400 block of Yorkshire Drive off Sheffield Dr & Carpinteria.

According to initial reports, the child is conscious, however, Engine 88 requested a medical helicopter as a precaution.

2:55 pm, Engine 88 arrived on scene to locate a child on the ground. They requested police code 3 due to a large crowd of people.

By 3:00 pm, Engine 88 reported situation had escalated with law enforcement on scene and citizens in the area.
