Antioch: 33-Year-Old Shot and Killed in Drive-By in front of 24-Hour Fitness

On Nov. 6 at approximately 11:33 AM, Antioch Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the parking lot of the Somersville Towne Center, in front of the 24 Hour Fitness.

The officers arrived to find a 33-year-old adult male, a Pittsburg resident, incapacitated from apparent gunshot wounds.

Life saving measures were implemented at the scene, but paramedics were unable to revive the victim and he subsequently died at the scene.

According to radio traffic, the suspected vehicle was a dark blue vehicle which may have been a Chevy Cavalier, however, no further details were provided other than the shooter was the right front passenger. A total of three vehicles were confirmed to have been hit.

This case is being investigated by the Antioch Police Department Investigations Bureau who are in the preliminary stages of the investigation and no further information will be released at this time.

Editor’s Note: The photos below include a man being restrained by police, he was a family member of the 32-year-old who was shot to death. He crossed the police line trying to get to the male when police had to restrain him along with his family.
