Antioch: 25-Year-Old Man Shot Near Antioch Middle School

At 4:17 pm Tuesday, Antioch Police Officers responded to the 1800 block of “D” Street on the report of a shooting.

According to police, several callers reported hearing approximately 4 to 5 gunshots. A black SUV being followed by a white pick-up truck were seen leaving the immediate area at a high rate of speed.

Shortly thereafter, a 25 year old male Pittsburg resident arrived at a local area hospital with (2) non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

According to radio traffic, one of the wounds was to his shoulder and the vehicle involved would have bullet holes in the windshield.

The victim was listed in stable condition and is expected to survive said Antioch Police, however, no other victims were located at the scene or admitted into any other hospitals.

This incident is currently under investigation.

This is the at corner of Antioch Middle School, right down the street from the library and high school. How long unti we lose a child or another innocent bystander?
