Antioch: 19-Year-Old Dead, 18-Year-Old Wounded in Shooting

On Tuesday at approximately 10:48 pm, the Antioch Police Department responded to responded to Sutter Delta Medical Center on Lone Tree Way for two male victims, who arrived at the emergency room with gunshot wounds.

A 19-Year-Old Antioch male succumbed to his injuries at Sutter Delta Medical Center, and an 18-Year-Old Antioch male was transferred to a trauma center and is in stable condition at this time.

It was determined the two victims were at Memorial Field Park on Putnam Street in Antioch when at least one male approached their vehicle and started firing rounds into their car.

The 18-Year-Old male was able to drive away and drove directly to Sutter Delta Medical Center.

The Antioch Police Investigations Unit is currently investigating this case and evidence is being collected at this time. No suspect details were provided.

This is Antioch’s 4th homicide of 2019 and comes days after a suspicious death on Sunday at a home on Big Horn Court.

  1. The person that did this is a coward he may not have meant anything to you guys but to our family he meant something. People don’t realize that death means forever and when you kill someone you can’t take it back

  2. May-September, warmer temps overall will correlate with a general increase in violent crime, with the warmer individual days showing more activity than cooler days even in that period. Not a surprise, this is the start of the season.

  3. This is what happens when vermin is allowed to come and live in Antioch! You get these gang members attract scum from opposing gangs seeking revenge! Time to step up and drive them all back to where they came from!
