Sorry to see that place go to sh!t. Back in the day it was nice. For any of the old timers they will remember when the two hotels were nice. You could go to Dairy Queen or Foster’s or Thrifty’s for an Ice Cream. Ben Franklins was in the strip mall by Berry’s where we got our birthday cakes. Down by City park was the Hamburger stand that I cannot remember the name of. That whole area is something to avoid now.

It’ll all be back. That’s the bread and better area of Antioch. Hollywood couldn’t make it look worse there if they tried.

Correct.

The whole Cavallo situation should have been reported and handled by the feds! This also goes for the Sycamore area! The feds would take over the apartment buildings and houses and kick everyone one and have the structure demolished and arrest the owners This would get rid of all the porch monkeys hanging out there. Also, the liquor store at 18th street and Cavallo should be shut down by the city.
