I find this just disgusting that kids this age are not out riding bikes, swimming all day at the pools and just being kids. Why do they have access to guns and so much hate to hurt people like this?

Blame lies with the kid’s parents!!!

Those boys are probably third or fourth generation suffering from lack of parenting. This begins with the advent of “welfare” and “entitlements”. This country is so wrong.

Nice work Antioch Police. For the parents, shame on you!

It might be time to charge the household parent with a crime. Maybe they will take a better role in the behavior of their offspring.

I learned back when we had all the problems and law suit over the Shell Gas Station and all those kids there is a very fine line when parents are responsible. i will never understand it. When we were kids in the 40’s and 50’s things were so different.

Why is he not being charged with attempted murder?

ECT, please follow up on this story. So many questions on how and why a 14 year old is carrying a firearm in the city. The citizens of Antioch need to know what to watch out for.

Were are the crime supporters now? We’re are all those bloggers who try to confuse the truth about these criminals coming from Oakland, Richmond, and ghetto parts of SF? Moreover, the propensity of these criminals sharing the same demographic profile!?

Yup! shut your mouths you ghetto section 8 criminals who make this city into a crime ridden s-hole.

I agree with Reginald. In order to properly address the violent crime in Antioch, people need accept the fact that in the Sycamore corridor, it’s Section 8 ghetto trash committing the acts. They comment on here and call you a racist if you point out the obvious. It’s a harsh reality that needs to be dealt with! We’re all grown ups here, let’s call it what it is and not sugarcoat it anymore. In case you haven’t noticed, take a look around and see what sugarcoating has gotten us!

If we could just get rid of the cats all this shooting and killing of young people will stop. Don’t feed the cats because they are watching.

Oh there you are. I knew it was just a matter of time before you criminal scum supporters would pop your ugly head onto this blog. Tell your brothas and sistas to go back to the ghetto you crawled out of. We don’t want your criminal kind here. You can bet your welfare and section8 check that I will be calling the cops on you every moment I can.

Truth is the truth. Your ghetto kind is responsible for the MAJORITY of crime in my beloved city.

Now go home to your sorry excuse for parents who probably do the same amount of crime you do on a daily basis, such as section 8 fraud, stealing from our grocery stores and the like. Go back to school and learn how to put together a grammatically correct sentence.

Idiot.

I don’t think it’s fair that he is not being charged with attempted murder. Once he is released he will most definitely try and kill the boy. Make him stay for as long as possible I would say.

To bad we don’t know what the kids who do this stuff in Antioch look like. If we did we would know who to avoid and who to keep our kids away from. I suppose we will just have to guess….

In a way “tha truth”, you may be right, although it was difficult to translate your written comment. You can’t blame “Section 8” because it’s a department in the County. But there does seem to be a correlation with Section 8 areas and high crime. And yes, it may be the fault of the parent(s) and the lack of attention and love. You are wrong about Antioch Police though. They know what they are doing and do it well. Faulting them for a 14 year old possessing a gun is just ignorant. That’s like blaming the education system for one person possessing bad grammar, spelling, and lack of punctuation.

Antioch Born n Bred Jul 5, 2014 - 2:01 pm

Hey “tha truth” thank you for being a shining example of what’s wrong in Antioch! First of all why don’t you sign up for a ride along with APD and see what their job is like. How dare you blame them for a 14 yr old POS having a gun. Since when does APD sell guns? Your only valid point is that these kids need parentS who love them and teach them. It’s kind if hard when over 70% of black children in America are born to single mothers. They’ve got the odds stacked against them from the beginning and it’s sad. But collecting welfare and other entitlements for generations instead of getting a JOB and contributing to society is not the answer. I’m tired of these lazy ass dirtbags complaining about the police when they have no job, don’t pay taxes, and dotnt do anything to better their community!
