On this episode, I chat with the Gena Noack and Sonya Managan, the new owners of Lumpy’s Diner in Antioch. Both have worked at Lumpy’s and now fulfill a dream and own it. They chat about the process in buying the diner which they call home. It almost didn’t happen as they were about to open their own restaurant at another location.
Gena explains how she was working at Black Bear Diner when Lumpy recruited her. Gena then brought over Sonia in 2008. We get into what Lumpy taught them about teamwork and being involved in the community.
We get into the food, funny stories about the diner, of course mimosas and their future plans.
