At 3:09 pm Wednesday afternoon, black smoke could be seen coming from Winters Island across the Delta. Over the course of an hour, the smoke made it’s away over the delta and into parts of Antioch and Pittsburg.
According to radio traffic, CONFIRE is not responding to the fire.

Do the fire agencies know what agency is responsible for that area. Last week they didn’t know who should respond for at least an hour.
Isn’t this just a peat fire and they just let them burn? Winters Island goes up all summer long and no one ever does anything but let it burn.
