According to Bay Area Rapid Transit Police, a BART train operator was assaulted by a male suspect.
The incident occurred on May 27 at 6:34 pm when the operator was punched by a male suspect. An officer detained the man and he was identified by the victim. The suspect was arrested for battery on a train operator and was issued a prohibition order before being booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.
The suspects identify was not released and no further information was made available.
