The funeral for Hayward Police Sergeant Scott Lunger, who was killed in the line of duty, will take place on Thursday July 30 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland.
The funeral procession will leave Oakland at about noon and will be traveling eastbound on I580 through Livermore, then exiting onto northbound Vasco Rd. enroute to the Brentwood area.
The Livermore Police Department would like to encourage our community members to line the roadway on Vasco Rd between Northfront Rd. and Dalton Rd. to honor Sergeant Lunger, his family, and his peers.
The procession is anticipated to arrive in Livermore at about 12:30 pm.
