FBI Announces Reward for Suspect Involved in Deadly Shooting that Killed 4-Year-Old Girl in Watsonville

SAN FRANCISCO – The FBI is announcing a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of MARCOS DANIEL ROBLES. He is wanted for his alleged participation in a shooting which occurred at a motel in Watsonville, California.

On October 10, 2014, at approximately 11:55 p.m. ROBLES allegedly shot and killed a rival gang member as he stood in the motel parking lot. Some of the rounds fired went into a nearby restaurant, where they struck and killed 4-year-old Jaelyn Zavala and wounded an innocent man.

On February 18, 2015, the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Cruz, issued an arrest warrant for ROBLES after he was charged with two counts of murder. ROBLES is known to be a Norteno gang member and may have fled to Mexico.

A federal arrest warrant was issued for ROBLES on May 15, 2015, in the United States District Court, Northern District of California, San Jose, California, after he was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

The FBI is asking anyone with information about MARCOS DANIEL ROBLES’ whereabouts to come forward and contact the San Francisco FBI Office at: (415) 553-7400, or the Watsonville Police Department at: (831) 768-3544. He is considered armed and dangerous and is an escape risk.

into a nearby restaurant, striking and killing a 4-year-old girl and wounding a male victim. On February 18,

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest of Marcos Daniel
Robles.
