Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to two residential fires Saturday which were both put out quickly with limited damage.
Firefighters responded around 12:45 pm Saturday to Pinenut Ct. for a report of a garage fire. Upon arrival, smoke was visible from the garage and coming from the second story. Firefighters quickly worked to contain the blaze to the garage going through a side door.
Firefighters had the fire out within 10-minutes and limited the blaze to the garage area, however, the home at smoke damage throughout. No neighbors homes were damaged in the incident.
CONFIRE received an assist from East Contra Costa Fire Protection District who assisted in the incident.
The second fire came in at 9:28 pm on Mokelumne Court which came in as a porch fire. As crews arrived, they found a fully involved deck in the backyard on fire. Crews quickly worked to extinguish the fire which left the deck destroyed, however, the home was not damaged in the blaze. Crews were on scene for roughly an hour.
There were no reported injuries in either fire and no cause has been released.
