At 1:56 pm Sunday, Antioch Police and Contra Costa Firefighters responded to a vehilce versus fire hydrant near the intersection of Somersville Road and Delta Fair Blvd in Antioch. The indictment occurred after a red truck stuck a hydrant causing water to shoot high into the air.The incident flooded the street as crews worked to shut off the water.
A broken hydrant could put out up to 1,000 gallons per minute until turned off. No further information has been provided.
