The Antioch Police Department responded to a burglary attempt Thursday morning around 11:00 am as two suspects fled the scene near Deerfield Drive. Police ended up catching one suspect according to a source; however, another managed to cross Hillcrest Avenue and jump fences into resident’s backyards on Spur Way.
A police helicopter was called in an attempt to find the second suspect as they searched from Hillcrest Ave to Laurel from the air. After about 20-minutes, the search was called off. It was later brought to the officers attention by a neighbor, that he unknowing gave the suspect a ride to a nearby cemetery on Vierra and E. 18th.
