Antioch Police Engage in Two Vehicle Pursuits, Net Two Arrests

by ECT

On April 20, Antioch Police officers working a gang proactive detail engaged in two separate vehicle pursuits that netted two arrest.

The first arrest came at 6:02 pm where Rachel Robinson, 30, was suspected of driving a stolen vehicle. Officers attempted to make a traffic stop where she led them on a pursuit until she began to drive on the wrong side of the roadway.

Robinson then attempted to purposely ram the officers chasing her, at which point the pursuit was terminated. Other officers were in the area of Texas St. and D St, when they located the vehicle being abandoned with Robinson fleeing from the vehicle.

Robinson led officers in a short foot pursuit, but was taken into custody without further incident. Robinson was taken to county jail.

The second pursuit began at 7:15 pm where they attempted to stop Aaron Perez, 29, for vehicle code violations. Perez was driving a Subaru, which was determined to be stolen.

Perez led the officers on a short pursuit until he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the front yard of 1119 W. 9th Street. Perez was taken into custody without incident.

During a search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded .22 caliber rifle, two loaded 30 round magazines and a face mask on the floorboard. Perez was taken to county jail.

More amazing FREE publicity that shows the hard work that is being performed by our Antioch Police Department. A twofer, back to back – results hidden, no press release. This is the lack of transparency I am referring to. People do not give a crap about the numbers, they want to see results, if the transparency is there. Now, the only results they see is what a criminal provides.- smh

These two losers will be out in no time, putting everyone else in danger, and stealing people’s hard working possessions. Lock them up and throw away the key please. The female should get charged with very strict crime for trying to kill a police officer.
