On February 21, at 10:10 pm, Antioch Police officers were dispatched to Walmart on Lone Tree Way for a man who had been shot in the leg.
The 27 year old victim told officers he was walking with a relative when he heard a shot and felt pain in his leg. The victim stated at that time he had no idea who shot him. Evidence at the scene did not support the victim’s statement to police. The victim was treated at an area hospital and he was later released.
A follow-up interview with the victim revealed the victim was in possession of a gun when it accidentally went off and he shot himself in the leg. The case is being sent to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
No further information was provided.

According to Antioch PD, the shooting occured in the parking lot of Walmart and not inside the store.

Seems like a simple charge of a concealed weapon and reckless discharge to me. I’m betting he does not have a ccw and may not be legally in possession either. I’d like to hear the rest of this story.
yes ..concealed weapon, reckless discharg,indangering the public ,illegal possison ,assault…violation of probation or parole if he is on either..their going to get him for something just like the football player that shot him self plexico burress…….basically he is a donner.
7pm at Pitts Walmart at Ghetto group with one scrap screaming at the money order ppl because she didn’t have money in ATM. She screamed at the cashier that she done F$&ked her card up so she was going beat her. She was throwing things around & trying to climb over the counter. Her posse stood by letting her go nuts on these cashiers. Walmart was so together this lasted about 5 minutes before they got her out. Nice job on keeping employees safe Walmart.
