Antioch: Five Displaced After Midnight Fire on Alpha Way

by ECT

At 12:12 am Friday, Contra Costa County firefighters responded to a duplex in the 2100 block of Alpha Way in Antioch for a report of a fire.

Firefighters arrived on scene to a home that was boarded up after a male intentionally set fire to it less than a week ago after a fight with an ex-girlfriend according to dispatch. AMR was also requested to the scene along with PG&E.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and and evacuated the neighboring home while locating two people who were under the “heavy” influence of alcohol.

Red Cross was requested after the fire displaced four-adults and one-child. The fire was believed to be set for a second time by an ex-boyfriend of the occupant.

Crews were on scene for 2-hours.

Remember the fire at the end of the court last month? I think the same people own those apartments that caught fire here. Both properties borderline red tagged. Im just sayin…….?
