Antioch: Bicyclist Seriously Injured After Being Stuck by Vehicle on A St.

Shortly before 1:30 pm Friday, a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle on A Street and 6th which shut down the roadway for about an hour.

The bicyclist was located in the street suffering from serious injuries. The driver of a blue vehicle stopped and was cooperative with police on scene.

According to Antioch Police, the bicyclist was traveling eastbound on 6th Street when he ran a stop sign and a vehicle traveling southbound struck him. He sustained moderate to major injuries and remained in serious condition at the hospital but is expected to survive.

As of Saturday morning, no details have been provided by Antioch Police.
