AAA said Monday that the average price of gas is $2.55 per gallon which is a nickle cheaper than at the beginning of December. In California, the average cost of gas is fell 8-cents to $3.62 per gallon.<\/p>\n
The latest Energy Information Administration (EIA) reports show gasoline demand at its lowest rate since mid-February and the highest stock levels since this summer.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs the weather turns colder, people tend to drive less and we see less gasoline demand,\u201d said Jeanette Casselano, AAA spokesperson. \u201cThis is causing gas prices to be less expensive. In the lead up to the holidays we may see a small spike in demand, but not enough to impact gas prices substantially.\u201d<\/p>\n
Today\u2019s national average is two cents cheaper than last week, a nickel cheaper than last month, but 18 cents more expensive than this time last year.<\/p>\n
