The Contra Costa County Elections Office released updated results Wednesday afternoon from the November 8 election where in the Antioch Mayors Race is too close to call while others races now appear to be finalized.

According to the elections office, the results are still unofficial.

This update will include the balance of the vote by mail ballots that we received on election day at the polls as well as in the mail through this past Monday. It is expected that this update will add roughly 22,000 votes to our totals.

In Antioch, challenger Sean Wright (34.73%) has maintained his election night lead in the Mayor’s race against incumbent Wade Harper (34.30%). However, in each update since the election, Harper continues to close the gap as Wright’s lead has shrunk from 229-votes to 102-votes.

In the County Board of Supervisors Race, Federal Glover will retain his seat defeating AnaMaria Avila Farias, while Diane Burgis won comfortably against Steve Barr. She will now replace the retiring Mary Piepho.
