- On 3\/10\/16 at 4:30 am<\/strong>, an officer was on patrol when he saw 31 year old Joseph Cannon<\/strong> riding his bike in the middle of Gentrytown Dr while trying to balance a backpack leaf blower and edger. Cannon was contacted and stated he had just found the items nearby. While speaking with Cannon, he displayed obvious signs of being under the influence of a narcotic. Cannon was arrested and during a search, he was found to be in possession of a methamphetamine pipe and suspected methamphetamine. The owner of the lawn equipment was located nearby and stated the items had been taken from the rear of their truck. He signed a citizen arrest and his equipment was returned. Cannon was booked into county jail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

- On 3\/10\/16 at 12:49 am<\/strong>, a woman and her boyfriend had an iphone 6 plus posted for sale. They made arrangements with a male to meet near Knoll Park to look at the phone. When they arrived, they were met by two males. She gave one of the males the phone to look at and the male refused to give it back. The second male then approached the victims and stuck a black semi-auto pistol inside the truck and demanded their phones. The woman put her truck in drive and drove off. The males began to follow the victims and began brandished their gun at the victim\u2019s car. The victims tried to follow the suspects until officers arrived, but they lost sight of them. An area check was conducted and the suspects were not located. The victims were not injured and the only thing taken at this point was the iphone that was for sale. The phone was not activated and could not be pinged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

- On 3\/9\/16 at 10:59 pm,<\/strong> dispatch received numerous calls of shots fired in the area of Willow Brook Way and Catanzaro Way. A short time later a neighbor advised a subject was at their door claiming to be shot. We arrived on scene and found an adult male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the left torso. He was transported to the hospital for treatment. According to the victim, he went to a house in the area to bring his runaway nephew home. While there, he confronted three males in the front yard about harboring a runaway. Shortly after one of the males pulled out a gun and shot him. A black car was seen driving around the area shortly after the shooting. Officers located 28 year old Steven Clark<\/strong> and 33 year old Darnell Williams<\/strong> driving in a black Audi. The vehicle was searched and a loaded Glock handgun was located in the trunk. The serial numbers had been removed and both were arrested. The victim stated neither were involved in the shooting but were his cousins there to assist him. Officers made contact at a home on Willow Brook Way and conducted a search of the residence but no weapons were located. This case is still under investigation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

- On 3\/9\/16 at 9:34 pm<\/strong>, officers conducted a stop of 39 year old Adrian Arroyo who is known to be on parole while he was in front of Romi’s liquor store 418 E 18th St. The subject attempted to dump a methamphetamine pipe out of his pocket as officers arrived, but was immediately detained. Upon searching his person, they located a bag of suspected methamphetamine and a loaded firearm in his pocket. Arroyo is a documented Norteno gang member in the city of Antioch. He was booked and later transported to county jail on several charges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Officers arrived on scene and found the front door open at 5228. A safety sweep was conducted inside of the residence and a firearm was found lying on the living room floor. 18 year old Malik Edwards<\/strong> was eventually contacted via the phone and admitted to playing with his “friend\u2019s” gun and accidentally fired a round off inside of the house. The round travelled through a wall and struck a window at a neighbor\u2019s house. No one was injured and Edwards refused to return to the house out of fear of being arrested. The gun was collected as evidence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

The victim pulled into his garage and was exiting his vehicle when one subject from the car approached him with a gun. The victim was robbed of cash and some jewelry. The responsibles fled the scene and were not located.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

A stop was conducted at Highway 4 and Auto Center Dr. and the occupants were detained without incident. 29 year old Adam Renfroe<\/strong> was the driver and 31 year old Amy Fiasconaro<\/strong> was in the rear passenger seat. A loaded syringe was found in the front passenger compartment. Renfroe is on parole and a hold was issued from the Department of Corrections. He was booked at county jail. Fiasconaro was released pending further investigation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Mesina was identified as the responsible and was in possession of the victim\u2019s property. He admitted to discarding some property when he noticed the police. All stolen property was recovered and Mesina was sent to county jail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

The victim advised he had just withdrew cash from the ATM and was walking back to his vehicle when he was approached by an unknown male in his early 20’s brandishing a handgun and demanding the victim\u2019s wallet. The victim gave up the wallet and the suspect got into the passenger seat of an awaiting black SUV which fled east on E. 18th St. A nearby witness corroborated the information. The bank and businesses in the area were closed and no surveillance video could be obtained at the time. The investigation is pending follow up.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Hill refused to return to the store when confronted and a struggle ensued. Hill was eventually detained after fighting with both employees and falling to the ground during the fight. Hill was later booked at county jail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

He was successful and found the vehicle driving east bound on E 18th St. An officer was in the area and located the vehicle as it was turning into the Executive Inn at 515 E 18th St. The driver, 39 year old Jose Munoz<\/strong>, was detained without incident. He was in possession of shaved keys but stated he purchased the vehicle from an unknown subject around 0200hrs. Munoz was booked into county jail for auto theft.<\/li>\n

James was contacted in front of the residence near his vehicle. James was on Parole for felony domestic violence and during a parole search of his vehicle, 7 grams of marijuana was located. James’ parole agent was contacted and placed a parole violation hold on him. James was arrested for the parole violation and transported to county jail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Officers arrived and contacted 23 year old Fei Li<\/strong> and 31 year old Ming Lei<\/strong>, who were inside the residence. Officers obtained a signed consent to search the residence and located approx. 400 marijuana plants at various growth stages, to include all of the necessary lighting equipment and chemicals. Li and Lei were arrested without incident and later booked into county jail. Special Operations Unit detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Both items were located during a search of his person. Burleigh was arrested and released with a citation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Sumara was found to be under the influence of alcohol and admitted to driving. He said he had been involved in a collision on Hillcrest Ave near Wildhorse on his way home from buying more beer at 7-11. Officers located a city tree that Sumara had collided with at the location. The tree had minor damage. Sumara was arrested for DUI and booked at county jail. His license is currently suspended from a prior DUI.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Costa was detained without incident and placed into handcuffs. Costa was found to have a total of 3 felony warrants in three different counties. During a search incident to his arrest, the officer located a digital scale and 1\/2 an ounce of methamphetamine on Costa. Costa was booked at county jail for possession of methamphetamine for sale and his outstanding warrants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

- On 3\/6\/16 at 12:20 am<\/strong>, 25 year old Sonya Griggs<\/strong> was traveling south bound on Lone Tree Wy. approaching Dallas Ranch Rd at a high rate of speed when she lost control of the vehicle striking a curb, street sign and eventually the signal light pole. The force of the collision severed the engine compartment from the vehicle leaving the engine block in the middle of the roadway and a large debris field. The passenger was wearing his seatbelt. He was ejected from vehicle as the floor board came out from under him and was subsequently trapped under the vehicle. Contra Costa County Fire successfully extricated him from under the vehicle and transported him to the hospital. Griggs transported to hospital with complaints of pain to her ankle and lacerations to her face. Griggs was suspected of DUI and was released at the hospital pending further investigation. An APD traffic officer responded and took over the investigation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

When the victim woke up he noticed his wallet, car keys and cell phone were missing. The clerk told the victim that an unknown male that was just in the store assaulted him. Instead of reporting the robbery, the victim called for a tow truck to pick up his vehicle since he had no keys. While he was waiting inside the store for a tow truck, an unknown female got into his vehicle and drove it away south bound on Cavallo Rd at which point, the victim called APD. The victim sustained a laceration above his right eye. This case is still under investigation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Officers contacted a maid at the location who told officers she went to a room rented by 25 year old Nathan Watson<\/strong> to clean it. Watson solicited the maid to have sex for money. When she felt uncomfortable and tried to leave, Watson closed the door and became persistent. Upon arrival of officers, Watson was contacted and arrested. While in the backseat of the patrol car, Watson started kicking the door, seat and hitting his head on the cage. He was removed from the car and placed in a restraint device for his safety. He was not injured and was booked at county jail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

He knocked suspect #1 to the ground and continued to deliver strikes. That\u2019s when suspect #2 attempted to attack him. He managed to place this suspect in a head lock while delivering more strikes, as suspect #1 laid on the ground. That is when suspect #3 exited the Buick and struck the victim with a gun in the back of the head. Suspect #3 held the victim at gunpoint while suspect #1 and Suspect #2 got back into the Buick. The suspects fled in the Buick and the victim followed. He stopped behind them on Somersville Rd at the red light and exited his car. He took photos of the suspect vehicle and the punched out the car\u2019s rear window. The suspects then fled on Highway 4. The victim returned home and called APD since his cell phone was now dead. - On 3\/8\/16 at 12:40 pm<\/strong>, the victim was driving home and noticed a white Hyundai sedan following him in the area of Contra Loma Blvd and James Donlon Blvd. The vehicle followed him all the way to his residence. The victim pulled into his garage and was exiting his vehicle when one subject from the car approached him with a gun. The victim was robbed of cash and some jewelry. The responsibles fled the scene and were not located.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
- On 3\/9\/16 at 4:00 pm<\/strong>, a neighbor from the 5200 block of Steven Stroud Dr. called stating he heard a gunshot come from 5228 Steven Stroud Drive. Officers arrived on scene and found the front door open at 5228. A safety sweep was conducted inside of the residence and a firearm was found lying on the living room floor. 18 year old Malik Edwards<\/strong> was eventually contacted via the phone and admitted to playing with his “friend\u2019s” gun and accidentally fired a round off inside of the house. The round travelled through a wall and struck a window at a neighbor\u2019s house. No one was injured and Edwards refused to return to the house out of fear of being arrested. The gun was collected as evidence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
- On 3\/9\/16 at 9:34 pm<\/strong>, officers conducted a stop of 39 year old Adrian Arroyo who is known to be on parole while he was in front of Romi’s liquor store 418 E 18th St. The subject attempted to dump a methamphetamine pipe out of his pocket as officers arrived, but was immediately detained. Upon searching his person, they located a bag of suspected methamphetamine and a loaded firearm in his pocket. Arroyo is a documented Norteno gang member in the city of Antioch. He was booked and later transported to county jail on several charges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
- On 3\/9\/16 at 10:59 pm,<\/strong> dispatch received numerous calls of shots fired in the area of Willow Brook Way and Catanzaro Way. A short time later a neighbor advised a subject was at their door claiming to be shot. We arrived on scene and found an adult male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the left torso. He was transported to the hospital for treatment. According to the victim, he went to a house in the area to bring his runaway nephew home. While there, he confronted three males in the front yard about harboring a runaway. Shortly after one of the males pulled out a gun and shot him. A black car was seen driving around the area shortly after the shooting. Officers located 28 year old Steven Clark<\/strong> and 33 year old Darnell Williams<\/strong> driving in a black Audi. The vehicle was searched and a loaded Glock handgun was located in the trunk. The serial numbers had been removed and both were arrested. The victim stated neither were involved in the shooting but were his cousins there to assist him. Officers made contact at a home on Willow Brook Way and conducted a search of the residence but no weapons were located. This case is still under investigation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
- On 3\/10\/16 at 12:49 am<\/strong>, a woman and her boyfriend had an iphone 6 plus posted for sale. They made arrangements with a male to meet near Knoll Park to look at the phone. When they arrived, they were met by two males. She gave one of the males the phone to look at and the male refused to give it back. The second male then approached the victims and stuck a black semi-auto pistol inside the truck and demanded their phones. The woman put her truck in drive and drove off. The males began to follow the victims and began brandished their gun at the victim\u2019s car. The victims tried to follow the suspects until officers arrived, but they lost sight of them. An area check was conducted and the suspects were not located. The victims were not injured and the only thing taken at this point was the iphone that was for sale. The phone was not activated and could not be pinged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

<\/a>On 3\/3\/16 at 10:29 pm<\/strong>, officers were dispatched to a report of a vehicle into the water at the Antioch Marina. 22 year old David Quintanilla<\/strong> who works as marina security called 911 to advise that a female had driven her car off of the boat ramp and into the water. At the time, the female was still trapped in the car and it was unknown if there may be others inside. When officers arrived, Quintanilla was able to pull the woman from the car and onto the dock just before the car submerged under the water. Contra Costa County Fire was called to the scene along with their Swift Water Rescue Unit. Eventually, the vehicle was brought to the surface and there were no other occupants inside. The 41 year old female was uncooperative and showed signs of being under the influence. She was taken to local hospital for treatment and a blood draw. It\u2019s unknown why she drove her car off of the boat ramp and the case is still under investigation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
