Volta: Commencement Ceremonies to Occur for Graduating Seniors

by ECT

The following letter was released today by Liberty Union High School District Superintendent Eric Volta about how they have decided to hold a commencement ceremony for graduating seniors.

The ceremonies will occur the week of June 22, however, spectators will not be allowed while they are also working on minimum recorded viewing and a backup plan should the live ceremony not be able to occur.

Her is a copy of the the letter:

Dear Liberty Class of 2020 Families,

Early on, under the Shelter in Place Order, our minds were on our seniors. One of the first things LUHSD tackled was how do we celebrate graduation. Luckily, local community members jumped in and began the process of securing senior signs. We knew this was a start, but we also knew that it was not enough. Earlier this month we decided that the tradition of commencement should be held if possible. Therefore, with the Board of Trustee’s blessing, pending local heath and law enforcement guidelines, we will have commencement ceremonies for our seniors during the week of June 22.

Unfortunately, we do not plan on being allowed to have spectators on our sites. The ceremonies will be at a minimum recorded for viewing, some will be live streamed. Schools are concurrently working on a virtual ceremony and may elect to do another event if the actual commencement ceremony cannot take place.

Actual dates for the ceremonies will be as follows:

  • June 22: Freedom, La Paloma, and Independence High Schools
  • June 23: Heritage High School
  • June 24: Liberty High School

Times to be determined. Outdoor ceremonies will most likely be early morning or evening. The next question on everyone’s mind is when will we find out about the ceremony? We will make a definitive decision the first week in June to allow schools to make alternative plans. Obviously, our seniors have sacrificed many aspects of their senior year, hopefully it will not be the ceremony that has been a part of LUHSD for over 100 years.

Sincerely,
Eric L. Volta

To anonymous name calling …Throw shade all you want, you sound a like a bitter keyboard warrior. Not to mention a coward with no empathy towards others, i feel sorry for your miserable existence. Your laughable.

And to help you out next time here’s the urban dictionary’s definition of Karen…..
-gives raisins to kids on Halloween
-love to use snapagram to post her workout selfies
-after a long day of talking to managers and driving her kids around she sits down with her mom friends at book club and drinks lots and LOTS of wine
“oh my god Karen do you really have to talk to the Burger King manager every time they forget to give you a ketchup packet.“

No walking unless you are a social distance away or Newsom will come down on you like socialist leader. Then he will tax you for doing so or ask Trump to bail him out.

PS, don’t forget full face masks. Actually this will be a great memory to share with your children in 20 years if we still have our liberty left.
