El Campanil Announces Classic Film Series For Families

by ECT

The El Campanil Theatre Preservation Foundation announced a back to basics rebooted classic film series for families heading into the Holiday Season with a variety of family friendly movies starting November 7.

Now, as Contra Costa County enters the “red” zone of COVID regulations (allowing movie theaters to reopen with limited capacity), El Campanil Theatre has relaunched their Classic Film Series on Saturday afternoons, beginning November 7th.

We only wanted to do this if we could make absolutely certain we could keep patrons and staff safe,” says Theatre Manager Joel Roster. “That has been our only aim since this pandemic exploded. Luckily, with the sheer size of our venue, we can seat a maximum of 100 patrons comfortably and safely.”

Series Schedule:

  • Nov. 7 – E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial
  • Nov. 14 – The Music Man
  • Nov. 21 – The Karate Kid
  • Dec. 5 – The Muppet Christmas Carol
  • Dec. 12 – Miracle on 34th Street
  • Dec. 19 – It’s A Wonderful Life

Tickets are limited to 100 persons per performance, and can be obtained by visiting elcampaniltheatre.com or by calling (925) 757-9500. The threatre is located at 604 W 2nd Street in the City of Antioch. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior/youth.
