That must have been incredibly frightening! Imagine being in your vehicle as it’s being dragged onto an onramp. I hope the woman is OK.
It’s time to rain in these red light running bottom dump trucks. They are all over and running crazy.
ALL large truck traffic (semi’s, etc.) should be limited to night time driving when there are fewer passenger cars around. Did this truck driver run a red light?
You’re very stupid! That is the dumbest idea ever
Leslie, you are right-on-the-money! I’d like to see ALL large trucks required to drive ONLY at night . . say, starting at 10 pm and finishing at 5 am …. that’s when the work traffic usually start hitting the roads.
Large trucks make the roads very dangerous! They must be contained. I’ve never seen a truck drive at 65 mph as the law dictates. They bear down at 75 – 80 mph! Scary!
Big trucks, at least most of them, are the safe drivers. It’s the dumb cars, who cut them off, who are at fault. You can’t stop 80,000 lbs in a few feet. You dumb ass car drivers that need to be somewhere 2 minutes ago and must get ahead of that truck are usually at fault but everyone blames the truckers. You sure as hell want all your products on the shelves at the stores though or delivered to your homes! How do you think they get there? Take a few extra minutes, let the truck have that extra space it needs and pass it safely!
We need to have TRAINS run products to cities, not trucks! Trains are safer and do not impact roads where the majority of the cars are passenger cars. Trucks an then meet the trains, unload products from the trains and deliver them to the individual stores.
I think for safety reasons, one now must drive a TANK to keep from being demolished.
Some of the drivers of the large trucks delivering fill to the John Muir Parkway project are absolutely crazy. Driving way too fast and running red lights.
I suggest Brentwood police or other appropriate authority monitor this closely, before another fatality occurs.
Stop blaming the truck driver, the car ran red light got hit. It was an unfortunate accident that could have been avoided.
I agree most truck drivers have to drive safely or loose their jobs. Most drivers have to avoid cars that cut in front of them or pull out in front of them. I try to give a big truck space. They can not stop as quickly as a car.
Read about the reply posted. Are you a witness ?
Did you see ?
You need to contact the police which they are asking for. You say do not blame truck driver , red mbz ran light ???????
Peter – Are you a witness ?
Did you see the accident ?
Did you see the red light etc ?
If so , then you should make your report to the police and not state your opinion on a public forum just as you are referring to the other party. 2 wrongs do not make
Yesterday I witnessed a driver run a red light and just missed getting hit by a young couple in a convertible. A few hours later I saw a driver pull out of a Berger King and never saw the cyclists who varied wildly to avoid the car. Both had drivers I would say older than 70. We all know our reaction time slows and we are less aware of our surroundings as we age. New young drivers and very old drivers are most at risk of causing accidents. What happened here I am not a witness. However you can guess who I put more blame on this fatal accident. Sad for the loved ones who knew the driver. Prayers for this family.
