Updated: Two Wounded in Oakley Shooting

At 8:45 pm Thursday, the Oakley Police Department responded to the 500 block of 5th Street for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, police located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One man suffered a gunshot wound to the chest while a second victim was shot in the leg. Both victims were transported to a local trauma hospital.

According to Police Chief Eric Christensen confirmed that two men were shot and transported to a local hospital. He did not release names or ages of the victims. He added they are currently reviewing video and no suspect information was provided.

“The shooting occurred in the street in front of the homes,” said Christensen. “I do know one of the victims lives at a home in the neighborhood.”

He added that a vehicle stopped and some sort of exchanged occurred.

Police were on scene investigating the shooting and no motives have been determined and police are asking for the public to assist them by providing any information by calling (925) 646-2441 or email [email protected].

The Oakley Police Department anticipates releasing more information Friday morning.

Friday Update
Oakley Police Chief Eric Christensen said Friday that both victims were expected to survive. No other information was released.

No where is safe anymore. Never try to attempt to confront your neighbors about anything, they will shoot you.

I’ve confronted my neighbors about many issues. They finally moved away after other people confronted them!

When they took them to the ER, did they place them next to each other or afterwards, in the same hospital room?
