Tuesday Update: Contra Costa Continues to See More Coronavirus Cases

On Tuesday, Contra Costa Health Services announced there are now 442 cases of coronavirus resulting in 7 Deaths. The County is now including the city list with number of cases. This is 25 more cases than on Monday.

The county also announced that Public Health staff are investigating a COVID-19 outbreak at the Carlton Senior Living facility in downtown Pleasant Hill. They say 4 residents have tested positive, 3 of which are now hospitalized; 9 staff members also have tested positive.

The county says they have provided 5,831 tests and 29 people are currently in the hospital.

Cases by Age:

  • 0-20 years: 13
  • 21-40 years: 132
  • 41-60 years:162
  • 61-80 years: 115
  • 81-100 years: 18

According to the county, 239 women tested positive while 198 men were positive with 5 cases of unknown gender were reported.

On Friday, Health Officer Dr. Chris Farnitano announced that the County is issuing a mass order for residents with COVID-19 and their close contacts to isolate and quarantine themselves.
