Richmond Police Seek Driver of SUV that Struck and Killed 4-Year-Old

The Richmond Police Department is seeking the identification of a driver in an SUV that struck a 4-year-old child and fled the area Friday.

According to police, at approximately 5:00pm near the 2200 block of Coalinga Ave., a 4 yr old child was stuck by an SUV while walking with their parents. The child was life flighted to a local hospital in critical condition. The vehicle did not stop and fled the scene. Surveillance footage shows the suspect vehicle, which appears to be a 1994-2000 model, 2 door, green Ford Explorer with aftermarket wheels.

It should have minor front end damage and appears to have a white rectangular sticker in the lower passenger side rear window.

UPDATE
Police said the 4yr old child succumbed to their injuries and passed away around 11:50 pm.
