Pleasant Hill Police Make Several Retail Theft Arrests

In the last several days, the Pleasant Hill Police Department have made several arrests relating to retail theft incidents within the City of Pleasant Hill.

Officers Make Pair of Arrests Thursday

First, Pleasant Hill Police nabbed a thief who stole $800 of merchandise from Dick’s Sporting goods.

Second,  they provided a photo of the  $4,250 worth of stolen over-the-counter medication they recovered from a suspect after he committed a separate shoplift at the Michael’s store. The photo shows an officer returning it to Safeway after removing it from the suspect’s vehicle.

The suspect was booked into county jail.

Officers Recover $7,200 in Stolen Property

On November 2, the Pleasant Hill Police Department announced that last night while officers were walking through the Target shopping center on Contra Costa Blvd, they discovered a grab-and-run theft had just occurred.

Police say after a brief foot pursuit and a bold escape attempt, two females and one male subject from San Jose were arrested with over $7,200 of stolen property from Burlington in their car and in tow as they were running from the store.

  • Juan Carlos Fierros (age 30 resident of San Jose)
  • Juana Jimenez (age 28 resident of San Jose)
  • Cecilia Sandoval (age 26 resident of San Jose)

All three subjects were booked at Martinez Detention Facility for warrants and theft-related charges.

Officers Prevent Theft in Progress

On October 25, Officers responded to Party City for the report of a theft in progress. Officers quickly arrived and prevented any thefts from occurring. During the investigation one of the involved individuals had an outstanding felony warrant and was on probation.

Officers conducted a probation search and located a loaded pistol in the vehicle. Two people were arrested and booked into county jail on multiple charges. The pistol was taken off the street and the investigation will continue to identify the owner.
