Updated: 1 Wounded, 4 Vehicles Struck by Gunfire in Pittsburg

At 3:31 pm Thursday, the Pittsburg Police Department responded to a report of a shooting on Warren Way off Power Avenue in the City of Pittsburg.

Upon arrival, police located at least 1 victim who was transported to a local hospital along with at least four vehicles which were struck by the gunfire. All four vehicles were towed.

Pittsburg Police provided no information on scene about the shooting.

UPDATE: Pittsburg Police Department Shooting Investigation

This afternoon, shortly before 3:30 PM, Pittsburg Officers responded to a house in the 200 block of Warren Way for the report of shots fired. While officers were responding to the house they were advised a woman had been shot. Officers arrived on scene and located the woman suffering from a single gunshot to the lower torso. The woman was transported to John Muir Walnut Creek where she is listed in stable condition. Several vehicles located in front of the house were also struck by gunfire.

Pittsburg Officers determined the suspects fled in a dark colored sedan traveling west towards the city of Bay Point. This information was provided to surrounded police agencies. Deputies from the Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office located the car as it was traveling westbound on Willow Pass Road. Deputies pursued the car for several minutes through Bay Point. The driver ultimately stopped the car, but refused to obey commands. A K9 was deployed to assist taking the occupants of the vehicle into custody. The firearm used in the shooting was located and later recovered by Pittsburg Officers.

Both suspects were taken into custody and later booked and transported to MDF. Detectives are working to determine the motiv


Note:

On Monday, the Pittsburg Police Department had its 5th homicide of 2019 after a shooting occurred around midnight on Shoreline Drive that left a 47-year-old man dead.

As the weather gets warmer, we will see more and more of this crap going on. One great thing about the rains is that it kept a lot of the scumbags indoors.

I love the part where “The K9 was DEPLOYED to ASSIST taking the occupants of the vehicle into custody.” I hope the nice doggie was up on his shots and got to sink his canines into the punks and later got a nice steak for his participation! Way to go, doggie!
