Overturned Vehicle Crash Blocks Lanes on Eastbound Highway 4 Near Somersville

At 7:30 am Saturday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of an overturned vehicle on eastbound Highway 4 just west of Somersville in Antioch.

AMR arrived on scene to a two-vehicle crash with one vehicle on its roof blocking two lanes of traffic with debris spread into another lane. It was also reported that all occupants were out of the vehicles.

By 7:38 am, Battalion 8 reported the freeway was completely blocked as they worked to clear the scene.

Update:
Minor injury crash and by 8:20 am, all lanes were open.

I was right behind the start of all this, luckily my anti lock brakes work well, had to drive through a lot of debris to get past the scene, emergency services were there fast. A tractor trailer driver that stopped on the side of the road told me one car hit his trailer as well.
