Oakley: Driver Traveling at High Rate of Speed Strikes Two Parked Cars

At 9:48 pm Monday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vehicle crash on O’Hara Avenue at E Home Street in the City of Oakley.

Upon arrival, Engine 53 firefighters located a solo vehicle crash that had crashed into two parked vehicle with the driver still inside. The driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported by AMR to a local hospital.

The incident shut down O’Hara Avenue in both directions at E Home St near Station 53.

According to Oakley Police, the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed without any headlights on before striking the parked vehicles. The driver told police he fell asleep at the wheel. Police were still investigating the crash Monday night.

No, he is a good boy and would never drink and drive!! He was really tired after working a long shift at his job!! He fell asleep at the wheel and it is the cities fault for not having proper lighting on the street. If these people would make their cars more visible he would not have hit him. I am tired of people like Tori trying to slander good peoples name when they have no idea. My son is a great boy and never breaks the law you bitch
